My first technical Paper!

My first technical Paper!

I have been working as a software engineering intern with Intel for the last 9 months (hence the reduction in content).

As part of my internship, I wrote a paper on some of the work I was doing and Intel published my paper on the Intel Developer Zone.

Part of my work involved the optimisation of a product called the Virtualised Cable Modem Termination System (vCMTS)
which is a packet processing application for the cable telecommunications industry.

As part of this work I discovered a method for significantly reducing the memory bandwidth (how much RAM is used) of a packet processing application.

I wrote a paper to explain to other engineers how they could do this for their own applications.

I am finished my internship and have returned to college so hopefully regular(-ish) content should return.

As always if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask,

Conor.
